White wood is white to light yellow. The heartwood is red, the fibers are straight or slightly wavy, the texture is medium to coarse, with a natural sheen. The wood is very hard and resistant to rot and wood-destroying insects. It is more difficult to machine, it is used for the production of furniture, musical instruments, tool handles turning.
