Core wood is pink-red, white wood is white. The fibers are straight or wavy with a fine texture and a slight natural shine, it is very resistant to mold and wood-destroying insects. The wood is hard, but quite easy to work with. It is used for the production of furniture, decorative items, turning. Bubinga is listed on CITES.
